About Me

Carlos E. Torres

I am an experienced and successful software engineer with two decades of expertise in creating impactful solutions across web, mobile, and enterprise platforms. Currently a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle Health, I am also a dedicated researcher pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at UCCS, focusing on AI, Machine Learning, NLP, and LLMs applied to healthcare.

My work is characterized by a commitment to innovation, quality, and a collaborative spirit. I am a lifelong learner, passionate about technology, open-source contribution, and leveraging my skills to solve complex problems. Beyond my technical pursuits, I am a Spiritist, interested in philosophy, music, and home automation, reflecting a well-rounded and intellectually curious individual.

My academic journey includes an M.S. in Computer Science from UCCS (with awards for Colorado Cybersecurity Scholarship and Graduate Research Assistant roles), an MBA in Project Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
